Overview

Summary:

 

This is a full time position in a pleasant office that requires the ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast paced environment. The Credentialing Specialist will report directly to the Supervisor of Credentialing and Physician Services and be responsible for Credentialing physicians and nurses within an assigned territory.

Position Requirements

 

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Complete all new location, new hire and existing provider office based primary/cross privileging
  • Build solid, strong relationships with site administrators and internal NAPA leaders/managers
  • Assist administrators with site surveys
  • Process all required reappointments timely and accurately
  • Follow up timely and consistently with both providers and sites
  • Escalation as outlined and required in the mobile credentialing workflow
  • Complete and accurate data entry of all pertinent mobile data, process and follow up into Cactus
  • Creation and Maintenance of all office based document files
  • CAQH updates as required and appropriate
  • Run and submit weekly reports to management
  • Attend and participate in all required mobile meetings
  • Research, investigate, work with internal billing and external payors to resolve all outstanding claims for mobile sites
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

 

Qualification/Requirements:

 

  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Ability to work with all levels of associates from entry level to upper level management
  • Experience working in an office setting, preferably in the health care industry
  • Strong analytical, follow up, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must assume full responsibility and accountability for job performance
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment
  • Must be a self-starter and a team player who enjoys providing the highest level of customer service
  • Database expertise, and ability to create and manipulate reports and spreadsheets
  • Ability to accept constructive feedback and learn from past experience, situations and mistakes
  • Local & distance travel required

 

 

Education and/or Experience

  • High School or equivalent, college degree preferred
  • 2+ years office based privileging, surveys, and reappointment experience desired
