Overview

Prominent Melville-based North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA), has an excellent opportunity for a mission driven individual passionate about improving clinician to patient interactions.  We are seeking a full-time highly organized, experienced clinical coaching professional to join our team. The NAPA Service Experience Coach will join a dynamic group of administrative and clinical professionals and will be responsible for improving clinical interactions with patients and driving patient engagement at clinical sites, including hospitals, ASCs, and office-based practices, under the supervision of the Regional VP of Business Operations. Additional responsibilities include a variety of clinical coaching activities associated with the advancement of our key service lines.

The Location

 Mid-Atlantic/Pennsylvania Region – MD, VA, PA

Travel: 50%

Position Requirements

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of the Regional VP of Business Operations, assist in the development of comprehensive clinical coaching plans that include a variety of strategies to reach stated goals.  

  • Demonstrate ability to think creatively and provide solid rationale for recommendations
  • Implement the assigned deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Benchmark results and provide post-analysis
  • Daily interaction with NAPA’s administrative and clinical leadership
  • Liaison with external coaching partners (ex. Studer) to execute on a variety of clinical coaching programs
  • Leverage clinical coaching activity to maximum advantage and devise ways to improve efficiency and outcomes
  • Develop tracking systems to evaluate the effectiveness of clinical coaching communications and other Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Clinical coaching analytics reporting
  • Other duties as assigned to support the programs of the Leadership and Development Department and the organization

 

Requirements - Qualifications:

 

Clinical background required – Registered Nurse, CRNA, or other clinical professional with experience in the Peri-Operative service line or other applicable service line with significant patient interaction. 

 

A minimum of three to five (3-5) years of progressively responsible experience in a clinical coaching, patient experience or advocate role.

 

Candidates must reside in one of the locations listed above, in addition to the 50% travel requirement. 

 

Certification in Studer or other service or patient experience training preferred.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy essential  
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively with respect to the clinical coaching process and its application to the implementation of the assigned project
  • Excellent verbal and written communication necessary for professional communications and related activities  
  • Ability to interact effectively within the organization
  • Must be able to establish excellent working relationships with individuals and teams at various levels and from various fields of expertise
  • Highly motivated, independent and capable of performing in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Resourceful; strong problem solving skills; able to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
