    Position Requirements

    • Weekend coverage:  About one weekend per month.  Either 7a-6p Sat/Sun, or 6p-7a Sat/Sun.  (Backup calls covered by CRNAs).
    • Weekday shifts:  D1-D5, with first doc leaving by noon and last by 7:30pm (depending on the OR schedule)
    • Weekday Overnight:  730pm-7am, with post-overnight always off
    • Cases  are mostly bread and butter with Ortho, GI, Uro, Gyn, OB
    • Strong Regional Skills Required
    • Overnight Shifts 1 are roughly 1 in 8
    • Assists in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
    • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
    • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
    • ECFMC and FLEX
    • Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia
    • Currently licensed as a Physician in the State of Virginia
